Great value for the money. We ordered a number of rolls for pick-up and everything was ready at the time we were told. The sushi was fresh, tasty and well packaged. The service was great: friendly, attentive. A must taste for anyone looking for affordable food.
Great food, great people, my kids can eat about 5 avocado rolls, which are the best price in all of Marin. And the people are so sweet that work here.
This sushi restaurant is amazing! John is the most nice guy that I ever met! Super friendly! I would always recommend my friends to go there eat a good quality sushi and fresh sashimi. The best!!!
Small little hole-a-wall place across the street from Lark theater. When you enter, you are greeted with a hearty welcome from the chef. Funny, it's a sushi place but it's run by Chinese. Interior nothing to write home about- kind of a diner vibe. If you want to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chef work and converse with him, there are seats right in front. The menu is quite extensive with daily specials posted on the wall. The sushi was very good and reasonably priced! We had the Queen roll which had salmon (cooked, not sashimi style), grilled scallops and crab on top of the rice. The seafood was diced and mixed together. It was served warm and it was really good! I'd get it again. We also had the caterpillar roll with unagi ( grilled eel), topped with avocado and tobiko (tiny fish roe) and the dragon roll with shrimp tempura, crab meat topped with unagi, avocado and tobiko. We really liked both of them. The dragon and caterpillar rolls were 8 pieces each in long rolls and the Queen roll was 6 pieces served in a round shape. There were only 2 of us and we took home most of the caterpillar roll. We left full and happy. I recommend this place for a reasonable delicious meal.
Great Japanese food! From Bento boxes to sushi and sashimi and even udon soup and stir fried noodles and veggies. Good soup And nice tempura. This is a regular place for us, reasonable prices. Always a winner!
King of the Roll is a small hidden gem in Larkspur.It Does have inside and out side dinning area. Does not carry any specific ambiance and the AC was not strong as it should be , so the crew just left the fan on for hours. About the portions we ordered the tempura which was combination of everything from shrimp to veggies, and quite enough for 2 ppl. The selection of sashimi was absolutely fresh . Sashimi came as 5 different fish with thick and juicy style. I believe it contained of 25 pieces for 17$ only. The dinner special that I have chosen was beef teriyaki (did not like the sauce and texture of the beef) , but it was huge portion. It is not a classy restaurant, but food is marginal. There is no clean restrooms for this restaurant, the only place was out of the restaurant and super filthy.
